We could not think of a better way to bring our theme of Women Empowerment to life than to be a part of an initiative established by Mahatma Gandhi in 1945 to serve women and children in rural India - Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust. KGNMT runs a home called Swadhar which trains destitute women to be self reliant. It was an honor to have the women residing at Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust Home, Hyderabad, set up a stall to display and sell their colorful handicrafts during SreenidhiMUN 2015. We wish the residents of Kasturba Home every success in their future endeavors.
